Between 2004 and 2011, Öngör collaborated with international experts, including Bernard Grandchamp and Avi Şamir, to analyse the climate and soil conditions. The result was the selection of the Sarnıç Plateau, where the main vineyards reside. He continued to acquire private lands suitable for vineyard planting in this region until 2023. Selendi’s name comes from the district where they first acquired vineyard plots in 2000.

Selendi’s production is exclusively in the chateau style, where the grapes grown in the Sarnıç vineyards are processed in their winery. What started as a 4000-bottle production has grown into a premium segment of 80.000 bottles.
