In the 2000s, in order to experience the terroir of the Aegean Region and discover its potential, the Pendore terroir came to the fore and Kavaklıdere implemented one of the country’s most meticulous “Château Winemaking” practices at the Pendore Vineyards in Alaşehir Kemaliye, Lydian country.

As a result of the Kavaklıdere Vineyard Team’s detailed research and development efforts, along with significant investments made in the 2000s, this unique microclimate, where the Aegean and continental climates intersect, thus benefiting from a transitional climate that embodies the characteristics of both and the cool air from the Bozdağ Mountains, has become an oasis for 15 different varieties of wine grapes, comprising both local and foreign varieties. Named after the Greek word “Pence Horyos,” meaning “Five Villages,” Pendore encompasses 2,200 acres of land. A vast vineyard area is meticulously cultivated, with 79 different main plots and sub-plots being further subdivided each year.
